Experience a scenic seaplane flight over Viti-Levu's stunning coastline and interior. Then hop on a boat and watch captivating spinner dolphins that have made spectacular Moon Reef their year-round home. Later, don a snorkel and discover a fantastic underwater world.Dolphins symbolize the patron saint of love and have been viewed as magical and "Man’s Best Friend in the Sea" for millennia by humans. They’re one of the only animals that appear to play, joyfully leaping out of the water. Dolphins are social animals, with emotional sophistication. For years it's been known that dolphins are incredibly intelligent creatures.
Spinner dolphins are not particularly large. They grow to about the same size and weight as an adult human but they don’t live as long. Estimates are that they only live to be 45 years old.
Our day tour only is only a 45min flight from Nadi to Moon Reef by Seaplane. We fly over the mainland and return via the coastline offering awesome sightseeing opportunities. Seeing Moon Reef from the air is the best way to experience it, we can even see dolphins swimming joyfully in their natural habitat below. The seaplane lands directly beside Moon Reef.
Our boat and licensed Boat Masters will be standing by to take you to visit the resident Spinner Dolphins. We can follow the dolphins and watch theml jump when they are happy and lead the boat or show off their skills. Afterwards, you can swim or snorkel at Moon Reef and explore the wonderful underwater world which teems with coral life and tropical fish.
After snorkeling we head to Takalana Bay Resort to enjoy a delicious traditional Fijian lunch on the hilltop lodge. You will be greeted with a Kava welcome ceremony and handicraft demonstration. A trip to the local village to meet the locals is a wonderful option and a real highlight for the villages who would love to show you around (Subject to the schedule).
This is a unique unforgettable day trip completely off the beaten track in a remote part of Fiji that only a lucky few get to experience.
