Discover elegant dining overlooking the lagoon and the island of Navo. This fine dining restaurant features contemporary cuisine inspired by the sea and an extensive range of new and old world wines. Be tempted by an array of the finest creations prepared in the glass-walled show kitchen.
Opened in June 2009, Navo is named after the sacred island opposite the resort which is heralded as a special place for the people of nearby Sanasana Village. The island was once used as a settlement and place of retreat during times of war and conflict, where women and children were sheltered by warriors in secret interior caves and as a burial ground for high chiefs. Surrounded on one side by rolling seas & coral reefs and the other by a tranquil lagoon, the local community can often be seen gathering shell fish and fishing using traditional methods on and around Navo Island.
Enter Navo’s impressive wooden doors and you will find modern flair with pacific influences in its interior décor and architecture. A dining room like no other with spectacular views overlooking Natadola Bay and Navo Island, you’ll ensure you’re there before dusk to take in one of Fiji’s best sunsets.  Adding to the overall ambience our glass-walled kitchen flaunts fine food creation and preparation and the stylish private dining room caters for intimate dinner parties of up to 20 guests.
A warm smile and greeting from your host and you are escorted past the show case kitchen with signature fare displayed for your delight.  Chef de Cuisine Ritesh Kumar and his team acknowledge your arrival, and you’re ready to take a food and wine flight like no other in Fiji.

Influenced by both land and sea, the menu is innovative in its use of local produce with many signature dishes featuring locally sourced ingredients.

Navo Legend

For centuries Navo Island has been treasured as a special place by the people of Sanasana Village. Located across the channel from Navo Restaurant, the island was once used as a settlement and place of retreat during times of war and conflict, where women and children were sheltered by warriors in secret interior caves.

Today, the people of Sanasana choose to live on the mainland and revere the island as a place of historical significance and a sacred burial place for local chiefs and dignitaries.

We honour the legend of Navo by serving the finest locally inspired cuisine, accompanied by internationally acclaimed wines, all served by Navo’s dedicated team of professionals.
