How to get from Australia to Fiji

It just got even easier to escape to paradise.

From June 2017 Fiji Airways will be offering a non-stop service from Adelaide to Nadi, whisking South Australians off to white sand beaches and tropical fun in just a few hours.

As well as our national carrier Fiji Airways, Virgin Australia, Qantas and Jetstar all offer direct flights from Australia to Nadi or Suva, with departures from Melbourne, Sydney,  Brisbane and now Adelaide each week. There are no shortage of connecting flights from all corners of Australia, so Fiji really is just a hop and a skip away.

Fiji is also a great stop over destination on longer haul flights in and out of Australia, providing the perfect way to unwind into an overseas holiday or decompress with some island time after a trip abroad.

Landing in Fiji, you can say ‘Bula!’ to the brand new facilities of the recently upgraded Nadi International Airport. After a (FJ) $130 million update, the airport has been transformed into a world class facility boasting new departure lounges, restaurants and bars – it’s the perfect introduction or farewell to your Fijian getaway. Australian passport holders automatically get a four month entry visa on arrival to Fiji – you don’t have to apply for anything. All you need is at least six months remaining on your passport (after your travel period) and a return or onward ticket from Fiji. See here for more information.
