The Chef's Table



The Chef’s Table Fiji is a Not for Profit biannual event that was conceptualized by, Darren Braddock , Executive Chef of First Landing Beach Resort & Villas and supported by many talented Executive Chefs in Fiji. This great event will be supporting local Fijians through modern culinary education and the use of their local produce. The purpose of this Not for Profit event is to generate funds for selected charities, to bring awareness to healthy eating habits in Fiji through the active teaching of young generations and to support local growers/boutique suppliers with the purpose and use of their own varied produce.

The following Executive Chefs will be preparing a specially created 7 course degustation dinner:

The event management and overall co-ordination is very kindly supported by Valentin Corchado from Hilton Fiji Resort and Spa.

The selected Not for Profit organizations are as follows:

3. Colour Explosion Fiji
4. Western Musicians and Entertainers Association Fiji (WMEAF)
5. St. Mina Children’s Home
6. Sea Merci (Fiji)

This official launch is part of the opening strategy to bring awareness of The Chef’s Table community focus and a series of related community events commencing next 21st November, 2015 with a Masquerade Gala Ball to be held at the Rhum Ba which is located at the Denarau Yacht Club. On this date, these talented Chef’s will be featuring a gourmet 7 course degustation dinner with matching wines, live entertainment and various fund raising activities including an auction.

The gala dinner, will be followed the next day (22nd November) with The Chef’s Table BBQ day out to be held at the Residents Beach in Denarau Island.

For this particular community event, we intend to hopefully attract approximately 1000 people. The entry fee will be $15 per adult and free for children below the age of 12 years (maximum 2 children per accompanying adult). ($5 entry for Denarau residents).  All fees collected will be donated to the nominated charity. The event will commence at 11am till 7 pm. For this family orientated event, we have created special program including live entertainment with bands and dancing shows, Bouncy Castle, Clowns, Face painters, Zumba instructors, BBQ’s and great array of outdoor games, activities and prizes.

Our major sponsors are MH and Tourism Fiji and this event will also be supported by 40 culinary students from Fiji National University. Tickets are on sale now - $160 pp for the Masquerade Gala Dinner and $15 for the BBQ Day Out.
