There are 15 words in the Fijian language meaning Heaven and ‘Yasawa’ is the first word. Yasawa Island Resort and Spa is an exclusive luxury resort on one of the most remote and unspoiled islands of Fiji.
Swim in crystal clear waters, dive on vividly colored corals, connect with an ancient culture or indulge in Fiji’s first beachfront spa. Whatever you choose to do at Yasawa, you’ll do it in complete seclusion.

What makes Yasawa special and unique is our access to 10 private beaches for romantic beach picnics; activities like the Blue Lagoon Caves visit and most importantly our authentic culture… the majority of our staff come from the local villages and are truly excited to share their island and their culture with you… visit the local school, meet the Village Chief, partake in the songs and dances of the local villagers. It is these moments that will stay with you long after you leave Yasawa’s sandy shores.

Room types

Bure (boor-ray) – it’s Fijian for Sanctuary. Our 18 traditionally thatched, beachfront bures are understated in their luxury. Hidden among the palms, each air-conditioned bure has a discreet outdoor shower; an expansive deck with daybeds to wile away the afternoons; a separate living area with mini bar and iPod docking station; a hammock strung between the palms; incredible views of the ocean, and your own thatched cabana with sun loungers on the edge of Yasawa’s famous white sand beach.

Dining

Yasawa might be an island of isolation, but it’s also an island of plenty. All meals are included in the tariff at Yasawa, promising contemporary cuisine at every sitting and an emphasis on the succulent seafood caught daily in surrounding waters. Our chef’s creations highlight the fresh produce that is delivered daily and sourced as much as possible from the surrounding villages on Yasawa Island. Variety abounds and menus change daily accenting the freshest, regional ingredients of the day. Dine at the restaurant, on the beach, in your bure or beneath the stars. The choice is yours.

Our Executive Chef and his team are committed to ensuring every guest has a memorable culinary experience at Yasawa. Due to our remote location though, it occasionally requires us to special order specific ingredients that cater to certain dietary requirements. If you have any specific requests for your dietary needs,  we can ensure we have what you require upon your arrival.
