The American actor Raymond Burr’s passion for orchids was what gave this beautiful garden at the foothills of Sabeto’s ‘Sleeping Giant’ mountain its start. The main attractions are the 2000 plus orchids, but you’ll find lots of other tropical and indigenous plants there too. Stop by on a Sabeto sightseeing tour or wander solo through the flower-filled rainforest to glorious views further up the hill.

Exploring Nadi is easy with iBike Fiji and Bicycles Fiji e-bike tours into the scenic hill country. Bicycles Fiji also offer affordable short-term rentals if you’d rather explore independently. For a fun spin around town, Waitui Scooters run electric scooter tours (including a tasty combo with the Vavavi cooking experience) or simple scooter hire. A great pick for eco-friendly activities in Nadi.

For some wallet-friendly pampering, head to Sabeto for a soothing mud pool soak. This fun, natural spa kicks off with a thick mud lather before you wash off in the different thermal pools. You’ll feel like a million dollars after - especially if you opt for a ‘bobo’ massage from one of the local women. Get there on a sightseeing tour of Nadi or drop by yourself in a hired car.

Trade your fear of heights for unbeatable views of the islands and mountains. For the ultimate Fiji thrill, a tandem skydive with Skydive Fiji over Nadi or in the Mamanuca islands is hard to beat. Jumps range from 10,000ft to 13,000ft and up to 70 seconds of freefall depending on which package you book.

Depending on the route, you might cruise through a local village, explore a mountain plateau or stop for a quick freshwater swim. The bikes are easy to ride, the guides keep it fun, and it’s one of the best adventure activities in Nadi.
