Along Fiji’s famous tourism belt of the Coral Coast, is the area’s main town of Sigatoka, which offers plenty of attractions for visitors, including the main draw card, the large market selling local produce and products.

The market's produce is mainly agricultural, harvested from the surrounding area; a region rich in lush vegetation that is often referred to as Fiji’s ‘Salad Bowl’.

If you drive inland from Sigatoka, you’ll find fertile river valleys dotted with farms and market gardens, which supplies much of Viti Levu. It is also the Sigatoka River which has provided a line of communication between mountain and coast dwellers, and contributes to the richness of the area – on top of that the river provides a lot of fun, with excursions and boat rides along the island’s heartland!
