Nadi, 21 October 2015 – Registrations for the Fijian Tourism Expo (FTE) 2016 which will be held from 3-6 May at the Sheraton Fiji Resort on Denarau Island is now open.

This was announced by the Minister for Tourism, Industry and Trade, Honourable Faiyaz Koya at the conclusion of the Tourism Fiji Industry Day 2015, where the national tourism organisation also revealed its global plans for the New Year.

The FTE is a showcase for all that the tourism industry in Fiji has to offer. It is a platform which aims to deliver and promote the entire Fijian destination to the global travel market.

FTE provides a unique platform to international buyers from our key source markets and local exhibitors to have meaningful interactions to develop the industry and meet the international traveller demands.

Director of Events, Ms Sally Cooper says the FTE 2016 is expected to be bigger and better.

“We are excited to launch the registrations for FTE 2016. This is the premier tourism industry event in Fiji and we are looking forward to receive great interest from the industry stakeholders,” Ms Cooper says.

“FTE will be in its third year in 2016 and Tourism Fiji team will work very hard to successfully deliver the best event all in our efforts to boost the tourism industry and help the growth of the Fijian economy,” she adds.

This year, FTE had grown by 30 percent with over 600 participants attending the three-day event.
