In Case of Emergency: Your Guide to Fiji's Helpline Numbers

Keep these vital numbers handy during your stay in Fiji. In case of emergencies, you'll know exactly who to call for assistance. This includes police, ambulance, fire services, and even helpful contacts for utilities.

Emergency Medical Services Fiji

Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Fiji offers vital help across Fiji and the South Pacific Islands. Their helicopters and MedEvac jets are equipped for air rescues and are staffed by skilled medical teams. They also operate air-conditioned land ambulances and special rescue boats to safely transfer patients to hospitals and support search and rescue missions. Like anywhere, travel insurance is highly recommended, but you can have peace of mind knowing that these essential services are available 24/7 throughout Fiji. Contact them on Ph: (+679) 770 7700.

Crime Safety

  • Like most places, petty theft can sometimes be a problem so keep your valuables in the hotel safe or close to you.
  • Prostitution and drugs (including marijuana) are illegal in Fiji.
  • Catch a cab after dark, especially in urban centres.

Police Contacts

Contact your resort/hotel first to report a crime. They’d be familiar with the nearest police post or station – especially in remoter areas.
