A Remarkable Road Trip

Namosi

What better way to experience a country then by creating a self-drive itinerary and exploring paradise?

Head north from Nadi along the Kings Highway to the Suncoast and on to the lush interior and gorgeous views over the Wainibuka River. You will pass through villages and wonderfully scenic, rugged country as you make your way to the capital city of Suva, on Viti Levu’s South East coast.

Alternatively, take the Queens Highway south and check out the stunning Coral Coast for a swim or cultural insight into daily Fiji life. Take sunset photos at Maui Bay and pick up some fresh fruits in the Salad Bowl of Fiji, Sigatoka. Bonus points for finding a waterfall along the way!

Driving in Fiji is simple with main roads sealed and very easy to navigate. Car hire is readily available on our two largest islands - Viti Levu and Vanua Levu.

In Fiji, we drive on the right-hand side of the road with our national speed limit capped at 80kph (50mph), so take it slow and enjoy the ride.

Island Hopping

Island hopping

The best way to explore as many of Fiji’s magical islands as possible is to book an ‘Island Hopping Tour’.

Operators regularly depart from the Port Denarau Marina and sail to the stunning Mamanuca Islands and Yasawa Islands. Your journey to these incredible islands will be breath-taking and something you’ll never forget - make sure you have your camera ready to capture all those impressive island vistas!

Fiji Party Vibes

Fiji Party

Here we love to celebrate around stacked beachside bonfires with song, dance and a few bowls of kava too.

An island style party is great fun and something you must experience! Beachcomber Island is a popular favourite among travellers.

There’s plenty of nightlife in Nadi and Suva - think cool backpacker hostel hubs, yachtie friendly bars, restaurants with great bands and nightclubs.

Be sure to check out Malamala Beach Club - the world's first island beach club and the Mamanuca floating party pontoon called Cloud 9.

Up the Adrenaline

rafting

Many people picture Fiji as a peaceful, coconut palm fringed collection of amazing tropical islands and majestic coral reefs.

But did you know we’re home to some adrenalin charged adventure zones too?!

Take a jet boat, white water rafting or river tubing tour of our winding rivers, go big game fishing offshore, zipline through spectacular wilderness, surf some of the globes most incredible reef breaks, quad bike through the picturesque Nausori Highlands and even dive one of the world’s top 10 dive spots, the Great White Wall on Rainbow Reef. Shark snorkelling is also available for the brave at heart including skydiving.

Village Visit

The beauty of travelling is broadening one’s horizons whilst having a good time.

Here, village tours are a great way to gain an insight into day to day life in Fiji and experience local culture.

Another wonderful way to experience Fiji is to explore our fresh produce markets in key cities and towns such as Lautoka, Nadi, Sigatoka and Suva. Here you will get to meet welcoming vendors trading in delicious tropical fruits, kava roots, exotic spices and fresh floral blooms.

Voluntourism

Volunteer in Fiji

Volunteering is a great way to genuinely give back during your stay in Fiji.

A number of organisations here offer a variety of volunteering experiences that can easily be added on to the start or end of your trip.

You’ll likely work alongside, or as part of, the local community, discovering parts of the islands that regular tourists don’t get to see, while achieving extraordinary things.
